Birthday Girl

Kit is "Happy Talk" by Three Paper Peonies & Designs by Anita, template by Joyce Paul for an M Scraps challenge

I promise this isn’t turning into a showcase for all of my digiscrap pages, but I had to share this one.  I’m *almost* done editing the 300+ photos from my cousin’s birthday party.  When I saw this week’s challenge at M Scraps, I couldn’t resist.

One thing I’m still adjusting to with my new lens is the advantage of Image Stabilization that my previous favorite lens had.  But, the shallower f-stop still wins me over on my new nifty fifty :)   A lot of the photos from the party turned out blurred, not just because of quick motion, but because the birthday girl & her guests were moving at sonic speed! I couldn’t focus quickly enough, even on auto focus!

Once I get the party photos burned onto disks for Birthday Girl’s parents & grandparents, I’ll share some more.  Until then, I’m going to sip my iced tea and try to stop coughing up a lung with all of the smoke in our air from the fires!

So adorable! Stopping by from SITS, wonderful to meet you! Are you around the Grapevine? I see you mentioned smoke in the air and your from Cali so I assume, we are in San Diego and just traveled through there. Hope it clears up for you soon!

We’re right smack dab in central california — in the valley where all of the smoke & smog from down south settles. Plus, there was a fire somewhere in our county yesterday that was a few acres of fork lift pallets! It’s pretty bad year round, but right now is the pits :( Thanks for visiting!!!

What an awesome thing to do for your cousin and her family. I am sure they will treasure it.

Stopping by from SITS.
